    Windows Vista Beginner Tips

    1) The new AERO interface not to your liking? Click START > CONTROL PANEL > THEMES and choose something you are more familiar with, like Windows Classic. It may be boring but it might give you a slight perfomrance boost!

    2) Always forgetting where you laid your keys? Can't help you there... but if you find yourself always looking for ther same files over and over you can save specific searches in a special folder! The Searches directory is the default location. Every time you open it, the search results get updated.

    3) Are you a wrold travelling jet setter... or want to know if your 4th Rainbow Six team member is up yet in Singapore?  You can add additional clocks to the system tray. Click the clock and then click DATE AND TIME SETTINGS. Click the Additional Clocks tab. You can add one or two additional clocks to the tray and select their timezones.

    4) Looking for another performance boost? Specifically enabled USB flash drives (over 1GB) give you extra virtual system memory. They call it "Windows ReadyBoost". We call it a godsend.

    5) Having a hard time reading the fine print on your latest End User License Agreement? Whip out the magnifying glass stashed inside Vista! Click Start then search for "magnifier".

    6) Hold the Shift key next time you right-click any item. This opens up all the possible things you can do with it in Vista.

    7) Alt-Tabbing in the 21st Century! Just hold down Windows key along with Tab. Use your mouse or the keyboard arrows to navigate to the window you want.
